HENRICK vs. AARON TOWNS
I know over the course of this past year the biggest question has been my name! Everyone always ask me, Aaron did you change your name, if so why? First off, let me be the first one to tell you āHenrickā has always been my name only family and friends knew this part of me. The world only knew Aaron Towns. Though, as Iām becoming more vulnerable with my music and wanting to give all my fans all of me. I wanted to let you guys in on my life. Now donāt think of it as a name where thatās the only thing you call me. No, my name is still Aaron, though i want to you think of āHENRICKā as Bruce Wayneās āBatmanā, or Clark Kentās āSupermanā . When i step on that stage you get Henrick! Also, i know everyone pronounces it wrong and thatās ok. Honestly that was the point. I wanted to make it a point to correct the ones who couldnāt pronounce the way i do. THE āHā is silent! Of course, it looks like āHendrixā so first off you get that familiarity, which too me is a great thing. You pronounce it wrong then you get the hang of how to say it right means thereās another reason you want forget it! Then when you finally understand how to say it, itās now stuck with you forever! I wanted it this way! Honestly, to me the people who or know, know. An the people who want to know will know as well! Thatās the cool part, makes you feel as if youāre on the in. Youāre apart of the club house!
