Connor snags a bit of clothing from each of his friends and makes an outfit out of it. He has no idea why it upsets Nines, but he will find out.

“Damn, well, what look you going for? Casual, sophisticated, oh, sexy? I mean, I’m pretty sure Nines thinks you look sexy in everything but still.”
“Gavin!” Connor whined, covering his face. (Chapter 4)
Connor felt frozen to the floor when his eyes met blue ones and the artificial breath left him. The heat of Nines’s gaze almost made him believe he had a chance with him. He watched Nines look him over and then back to his face. Connor tried to smile but waiting to see what he thought was killing him.
Then Nines smiled, just slightly, and gave a single nod before facing forward again and keeping track of the crowd. He had a job to do, and knowing Nines he’d do it to his best abilities. He wouldn’t let himself get too distracted, not that Connor was distracting. (Chapter 3)
