The funny thing
The funny and odd thing about Latin America is that it's the very place where Radio Disney's still a thing, as in it's a radio network as owned and operated by Disney through other things. It began life in the United States catering to both children and their parents, airing censored versions of certain tracks. The US version of Radio Disney ceased operations in early 2021 but it's still a thing in a good number of Latin American countries like Chile, Mexico and Brazil enough to receive a revamp in its logo, not to mention it's the Latin American Radio Disney stations are where you go listen to Chappell Roan there in addition to non-Disney stations.
As somebody who used to listen to a lot of RJFM, Radio Disney sometimes airs the same songs and sometimes it airs the censored versions of a number of them. Radio Disney also tends to play more recent rock music, since RJFM usually airs rock songs from the 1950s up to the 1970s, but especially songs I've listened to on channels like Channel V (a Southeast Asian rival to MTV). Songs by My Chemical Romance, Keane, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran and The Clash have aired on Radio Disney, though I don't think RJFM even plays tracks by Duran Duran and Depeche Mode much.
Another one is that Radio Disney even airs songs by more non-American rock bands like The Rasmus, Tokio Hotel, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Maneskin and The Cure, RJFM largely airs American bands with some British bands thrown into it. But most especially the Beatles, not that I dislike nor even like the Beatles. But that Radio Disney does air a wider selection of bands, including rock bands that needn't come from Uncle Sam. My father even said that RJ has a strong AMboy (pro-American) bias, despite Radio Disney being owned by an American company.
But it does explain things why RJFM predominantly plays US musicians a lot, whereas Radio Disney gives more room to Korean, British, Irish and Australian bands. I don't listen to Radio Disney much anymore, but it's telling that Radio Disney does play more non-American music.
