TCW Era

Riyo and Ahsoka never publicly revealed their relationship to the public. Ahsoka mostly to not touch the general mess that was the whole anidala secret and Riyo to protect Ahsoka from general scrutiny from the other senators.

Ahsoka did reveal it Shaak Ti and Plo Koon though mostly to ask advice on how to deal with the discord that could come between duty and love.

Fox keep an ever consistent distrust of the Jedi even with his closest brother insisting their the best. Tough he never capitulate on the issue the mix of Yoda’s kind word, Stass fair reporting and Vos showing just as often on a stretcher as he would with dangerous bounties made him softened up.

Aayla and Bly relationship started in whirlwind (Kamino’s sexual education was laking and they were yet to put in place sexual sanitation measures throughout the GAR), but they kept it extremely hidden on the advice of Vos and the rest of Aayla lineage. Maris Brood (Aayla padawan in this AU) was quite to surprised to discover that her apprenticeship came with a baby sister.

Quinlan jealously keep a whole photo album of Ashla. Bly is still flummoxed on how is father-in-law got in the ship without anyone seeing him.

The Clone have a secret intranet. It’s main creators (Gree and Blackout) keep saying it should be kept totally isolated and secret but once Fox (dubiously) obtains a few servers room, the intranet turn into the biggest communication system during the war.

A separate Padawan intranet is created lather because many of the younger apprentices keep demanding to send communication to their friends trough out the galaxy. The separate network to keep the padawan away from the clones fowl mouth. (Wolf idea surprisingly)

Post-Forced Knighting Era

The forcés knighting was the demand of senate of a thousand senior padawan who had demarcated themselves during the war and be put in charge of the next generation of clone units. Their youngest would a seventeen years old Ahsoka Tano, the padawan of the legendary Knight without Fear. The Senate knighted whit out including the Jedi Council as a military matter for the safety of the republic. These very young generals would accumulate the highest casualties rate for senior officers of the whole war.

This is the main divergence as the war continues for three more years than the original timeline.

Ahsoka’s teeth fully come in around this age, especially her canines. It does have one unforeseen side effect. When they get lost in their making out, it isn’t rare for Riyo to cut herself on her girlfriend sharp teeth, leaving two small incision on Riyo’s lips.

It’s around those time that Dooku comes to his senses (Ha! Not at all) and comes to the conclusion that Obi-Wan is too devoted to the republic and the Jedi and change targets. Ahsoka would get kidnapped many times by the count but would resist every attempt to turn her to the dark side. The Makashi lesson was a good bonus.

It’s how she befriended Ventress (who is still dooku’s apprentice at the time). They both share a general feeling of abandonment by their master and those they fight for and drown it in Count Dooku Serenian Brandy’s reserves.

By the third year of war, the Coruscant guard has become a full on player and problem to Palpatine, as the one underfunded and isolated unit as built a powerful alliance of merchant/triad/local police departments and have started to undermine the Chancellor underworld allies (like the Hutt). This war would escalate when the Shadow Collective would drop on the criminal scene.

While mutineers are rare within the ranks of the GAR, resentment against navy officers started overflowing over the common incidents that came from clone/officer interaction. After all the clone are cattle/ slave legally whit in the republic. Fragging started to happen on a small scale. The most prominent example was of course one Pong Krell (fuck Pong Krell).

Ahsoka start as a knight come in isolated mission to support various pro-republicans(ish) guerrilla. Her and the 332nd would work with many from onderon freedom fighters to Bo-Katan Night Owl and many in between. While she does find her footing professionally, her isolation make her more and more disillusioned toward the republic and the senate as whole. It’s not helped by finding her lineage history with the republic (Yoda’s meddling over the years, massacre at Galidraan for Dooku, Qui-Gon repudiated first padawan and fallen second padawan, Obi-Wan’s mess of a padawanship and secret son he doesn’t know about and Anakin increasingly unsubtle relationship to Padme and it’s many effects on the 501st). She does get a renewed bond with Feemor and his new padawan Themis.

I think the diamond shaped marks are a trend, maybe because they look like her togruta marks(????)

Deserves more love. Can't believe we had an episode where Ahsoka pretended to be Riyo's handmaiden and fandom did absolutely nothing with it.

I gotta do everything myself, smh./j

But, seriously, this ship has a lot of potential. One thing this arc did was show that Ahsoka can use the galaxy's xenophobia and fetishization towards her species to her advantage. Nobody blinks when Riyo brings a hooded Togruta with her onto the Trade Federation's ship because, of course, that's just her handmaiden. What else could she be? Ahsoka does this again with Death Watch on Carlac; she's just Lux's woman to them.

So, Marks and Fangs is an old WIP that didn't survive my SSD crash, so it is lost. I am rewrting it from memory, but It was in WIPs for... wow, almost 8 years. Yeah, I think I will just be writing it anew.

It is a Riyosoka (Riyo Chuchi/Ahsoka Tano) Star Wars Au. It follows the events of Clone Wars animated series plotline, up to the point of Ahsoka leaving the order.

Leaving the order, Ahoska had nothing. Riyo offered to take her in. This fic is supposed to be, kinda, slice of life / many loosely connected chapters of their interactions through the events of the canon Star Wars timeline.

It's called Of Marks and Fangs, because:

Togruta's (Ahsoka's species) fangs are kind of a running gag for togrutas themselves: togruta have prominent fangs and, due to certain activities, it is believed that they are venomous. But, you ask anyone who knows togurtas well enough, and they will tell that, "No, the fangs are not venomous." Then you go to Togruta themselves and ask them, and they will tell you with a straight face, "Yes, the fangs are venomous," they will smile and show you the fangs too :)

Almost all Pantorans (Riyo's species) have marks on their faces. Most of the time, other species think that it is a natural skin coloration, but it is not. It's tattoos made in childhood and they are signifying family and ties to a family of every individual Pantoran. A sign and the pride of belonging. But only other Pantoran can read and understand them.

Idea of a fic was to share something intimate between Riyo and Ahsoka. To let the other "know" you, know of your marks and fangs :)

I will try to write a snippet that will be tonally close to what I wanted this AU to be about. I think it will be fun to return to it!

“Not all the credit,” Riyo says archly. “I think you carried yourself nobly. Your order must be very proud."

“Thanks,” Ahsoka blushes burnt orange. “You weren't so bad yourself.” 

“You think so?” Riyo’s surprised she noticed.

Ahsoka nods. “That thing you did, with the ceremonial spear? I've never seen anything like it.”

Emboldened, Riyo goes to kiss Ahsoka's cheek. Ahsoka catches Riyo on her lips and dips her enthusiastically, pulling her close.
