Hisato basically ran away from Mizuki a second time once he had enough of Chiari’s bullshit.

Way later down the line Rix eventually comes into his care by way of Shigen. He takes a shine to his new, technically, niece because same hat (aka the girl was going to be raised like he was to be the next leader of Mizuki)

from here on out the plot for Hisato remains the same.
