As lush as it looks here, the Ver Ricer is running dangerously low. The lack of rain so far this summer has depleted our water sources and reduced feeding crop yields. I hadn't been up to Hedges Farm for a couple of weeks and when I arrived the farmer greeted me and immediately told me that hay making was down by 50% due to low rainfall, the fields are getting dry so they may need to bring the animals in to hay feed them, and that would seriously deplete the winter feed stores for the animals. They have managed to source a few extra bales from surrounding farms, but what we really need is rain. He spoke to me as though he was asking for help, though I'm not sure whether he realised he came across that way. What can I do? I decided I would do my best to call down the rain..
