I had a dream last night, and it freaked me out a little.

Me and my father were police officers, and were calling a home in order to perform a wellness check. As I was on the phone with the woman of the house (her child was audibly making cookies in the kitchen), I saw a masked intruder kill the woman (we were standing in the entryway, I think). I blinked and I was suddenly the child who was making cookies earlier. I ran into my bedroom and hid in the closet, hearing the intruder's footsteps come closer. As the closet door was opened I woke up.

I'm in some big, old mansion that this lady and her husband live in. I've had this dream years before and I remember it and I know its a dream because the walls are a different color than the last time I was there so I asked the lady if she painted. The only thing I really remember saying to the lady and my friend is "dont worry this is a dream." Anyway we go upstairs, there's a creepy rollercoaster thing, and then we end up on a platform above the clouds with nothing but a table with a chess set on it. All the chess pieces are replaced with miniature marble statues of ships and I have to play for my friend's life. I woke up before I ever got to make a move both times.

My date went pretty well, but we had to cut it short because my girlfriend's husband had to leave (it was a date with my husband, my girlfriend, and her husband. fun times)

The first dream I had was me walking on a sandy beach on a cloudy day with two of my best friends. There was nobody around except for the three of us, and suddenly my friends disappeared and the sand fell away beneath me, causing me to fall into a cavernous pit full of jagged black rocks. All I could see were red and purple glitches (for lack of a better term) before I looked up and saw the sky in a perfect circle above me. When I looked forward again there was a massive realistic red deer skull larger than I was, and a shadowy black humanoid figure about the same size as me. The skull started speaking and asked “Are you ready to join us?” After hesitating I said “No,” and I floated out of the pit and woke up.

The second dream is more of a nightmare, but I wasn’t scared for some reason. (TW for gore, knives, and blood) I was in my living room with my ex and we were just chatting and hanging out when I was suddenly transported to a different house and ended up sort of spectating? There was a middle aged man, somewhere between 35-45 probably, and his daughter who was maybe 14 at the oldest, though probably closer to 12. The man went to his daughter’s door and opened it, and inside she was sitting on the floor and had used a steak knife to slice herself open and pull out her intestines, then carve out her eyes and replace them with her pet cat’s eyes which she had also carved out. The man calmly asked “What’s with all the blood?” and his daughter nervously responded with “Um, I’m on my period,” and so the dad said “oh okay,” and then left.

Any clue what any of that means? Thanks in advance for your insight x

1st dream, you saw god, let's go get some ice cream (this is a joke). For real though, sounds like you have some insecurities in your personal relationships and you think you aren't ready to open yourself up to truly being known, even by the people closest to you.

Going into a dark house. Inside is a ghost/monster entity that stands still in the background until you notice it then jumpscares you. I first escape by hovering/flying over the roof. Other people go in second house and i refuse to go with. We end up fleeing in a car. (We are adult police man, my mother, jinx from frigging lol and me) Creature grows wings and chases us, gets on the roof but we brake and shake it of. We keep driving through nice scenery and switch cars at a forest lake/swimming pool. We arrive at a city and go through the pedestrian zone and stop at a really cool/fancy ice cream parlor. We discuss if we can get ice cream even though we’re still being chased and decide to get some. The cones look gigantic but in the end they’re very small but at least we can build them ourselves. The city is one my family went to years ago when we visited a friend in spain

Alright, so starting with the scary monster, something in life that seemed harmless but then showed itself to be dangerous and scary (perhaps other people don't see it as threatening, but you feel like it very much is). Perceived responsibilities catching up to you that affect the ones around you, but they seem like they keep piling up and that you will never get through them. You getting ice cream is allowing yourself to have comfort and rest in the face of these responsibilities and frightening circumstances that you eventually do have to face on. Perhaps you feel guilty for letting yourself rest and heal when you need it, but it's important regardless, and you are allowed to let yourself enjoy it.
