Good Morning Heathens 😘 "Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world" What does that means exactly? To me it means conforming to other peoples ideas of who or what you should be, and losing yourself in the process. Believe it or not, I used to be "That Person" . The one that would be, do, say, or like whatever you desired. I was so desperate for the acceptance of others, that I lost myself. We all do this to an extent, some far more extreme than others. But why do we do it? I mean what's the point? Do you really want someone to love a character that you play, or do you want to be seen for who you really are, and loved anyway? I don't have the energy to pretend anymore. I'm far from perfect. Some days I'm pretty put together, and other days I'm a total mess. But I never apologize for either. I am who I am always. The good, the bad, the ugly. I show up as me. If you are pretending to be anything other than you, you are doing yourself, and the world a huge disservice. Risk being seen for who you really are, even in your messy moments. For you never know who may need to witness your struggle in order to accept their own. So let your freak flag fly. Be fearlessly authentic, and stop apologizing for who you are. What the world needs right now, is more genuine people. So just be you.
