"I just don't get hurt" is an incredibly careless way to approach your own health, and the health of others who might depend on your care, for that matter. Being condescending to people who are capable of performing first aid might be fun now, but how's it going to help you if you or a loved one ever need a tourniquet to make the 15 min until an ambulance arrives...
That was not meant as (and is not) a principled approach of mine, just empiric fact (so far), in response to the "when" in OP's post: what I do when I get hurt is, factually, "n/a - I don't get hurt".
(I mean. I've broken arms and gotten mildly concussed and sprained and pulled stuff, but none of that would have been helped by a first aid kit, and I've cut myself accidentally, but not serious enough to need more than a band-aid.) And the activities I do that are most likely to change that are all things I do elsewhere (biking in traffic, and hiking/climbing).
