Miraculous writing peaked around Risk and Strikeback I'm sorry but it's true
There is enough mystery, tension. You see characters devising their own plans to attain their goals, and other characters who are trying to sort themselves out. There is irony and drama. A loyal doggo who betrays. The contrast between a brilliant sleuthing genius and his horrified reaction seeing his aunt's frozen corpse. That trade scene where one demands power while the other asks for his life. Ladybug's overuse of the squad while neglecting the partner who's been with her since the beginning - a trend reaching its worst form and causing devastating consequences. Then of course the rooftop LadyNoir reconciliation in the rain 😭
I enjoyed season 5, and the finale makes sense on a plot level but season 4 finale with the amount of details and subplots intersecting like spider web will always be a favorite for me
If Dustin was canon: Risk.
Adrien: You wouldn't understand.
Dustin: *risk kicks in* Well maybe I'd understand if you were real. And not some fake version of yourself always doing what daddy says!
Adrien: What..
Dustin: Listen! Nobody in that class cares who you are! How famous, how hot. You're not helping anyone like this, not even yourself. So just, cut the act.
Rewatching Strikeback makes me hate Felix even more.
This piece of shit nearly doomed Paris and framed his cousin for treason.
Felix, you're a monster but it's not because you were born from the peacocks power.

my relationship with miraculous ladybug very unique. i’m insane and obsessive. meow meow meow meow meow
i realize people have talked about this before but i feel even more insane than usual right now. also if i misquoted something i apologize i am typing this frantically from memory while speedwalking to class.
chat blanc and argos parallels—
usage of flashback as narrative device to explain what happened and why
it was our love that did this to the world vs. everything i did i did for you
chat blanc destroying all of reality vs. by now all of humanity has been bathed in the light of the red moon
argos alone without his little sister and chat blanc alone without his lady
ladybug cornered realizes she needs to let her opponent think they have what they want
chat blanc and félix parallels in general—
i am out of screenshots on my phone but i am losing my mind. HELLO
There’s been something from S4′s finale that I always thought was weird...until just now.
In Risk, when Felix switched with Adrien and snooped around, Gabriel and Nathalie came in (just as he got back from finding Emilie). Gabriel tries to give him an order but remembers he gave Nathalie his ring. As Felix stares defiantly, Nathalie tells gives him the order, clearly showing him the ring in the process.
And Felix gives this reaction before complying.
I always wondered why he reacted that way. Then it hit me:
Felix didn’t realize that both rings held Adrien’s amok. He had already stolen Gabriel’s and figured that he would be able to defy Gabriel’s commands without worrying about breaking his cover--Gabriel wouldn’t suspect him of being Felix since no ring=defiance, thus normal.
Then Nathalie flashed the other ring before giving an order; Felix realized through this action that both rings, not just Gabriel’s, held the amok. He had to comply in order to not break his disguise.
He most likely figured that, similar to his father, only Gabriel’s ring had the amok to control Adrien. I mean...it’s weird weird for one amok to be in both rings so I can’t blame him for not expecting it.
