Even minor things that most people become accustomed to over time and with experience would most likely wreck him as he has no basis for handling it. Thereโs been many times she believedย she grabbed someoneโs attention, but they never made a move, and she didnโt either. The possibilities that she couldโve had something with them do bother her.
Her fear that sheโs imagining whatever attraction they have towards her is what usually prevents her from acting. Val has even had nightmares, where she asked a guy out but he harshly turned her down, either saying he had someone else or calling her foolish for assuming there was anything between them. Rejection honestly scares her.
