This is so sad. #cameronboyce was so talented. We’ve been watching him for years in our house & were so excited for #Descendants3. We still are but we’ll be watching knowing one of it’s most talented stars is no longer with us. For those who don’t know, we’ve been huge fans of his for years but it was during a Black History month segment on Disney Channel that made us super fans. Cameron shared that his grandmother was one of the Clinton 12. She was one of the twelve African-American teens who were the first to integrate southern public schools in 1956. He was so proud to share her story with the Disney audience. He came from an incredible legacy and was making a name for himself as a truly talented performer. He will be missed. ‪I had to break this news to my 11 year old today who is a big fan of @thecameronboyce . My son is literally my twin, so his initial response was “oh, that’s sad.” That was this morning. Since then, He’s been thinking about it and asking questions all day and researching more about Cameron’s contributions outside of his art including his Black History short about his grandmother. ‬My son is now even more a fan than he was before. All I can say at moments like these is that I will never forget all of the laughs I had while growing up. From “Jessie” to “Descendants”, Cameron Boyce will forever be in my childhood as one of the greats. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends during this time, please give them all the time to mourn.
