This is going to be nonsense, i’m sorry.

I can’t comprehend this writing. At all. It feels so lazy, so forced. Season 4 feels like it doesn’t exist. Like nothing that happened was real.

First, why was every scene between Stancy played so tenderly? There was no humor in these scenes. The van scene, the lighting is soft. Steve and Nancy’s ‘yeahs.’ are tender. Steve’s confession is also framed as a tender moment. In every important scene of them, the subtitles are literally “tender music playing.”

So, why WHY is it played for laughs in season 5? Why did they choose to make Nancy make fun of Steve? Why did they have Steve pour his heart out, Nancy not react negatively, just to tear it to shreds and make a Mcdonald’s joke??

Also, why include Eddies speech? It’s one of the last long speeches by him, besides his death. It was a very important, big scene in season 4. And now he’s dead. So they’re just flushing it down the drain? All his words mean NOTHING? His connection with Steve in that moment is just played for laughs now?

I don’t understand why they even kept Steve’s pining in. They’re making Steve look like an obsessed loser, just like every anti says he is. Why have him get rejected twice? I don’t fucking understand it.

Why write a love triangle, if you’re going to rip it to shreds and say she ends up with no one. I love Nancy, I really do, but I just cannot wrap my head around any of this.

They had so many tender moments, the script mentioned their sexual tension, their longing glances, yet it’s now all thrown away in the span of one conversation?

I’m trying to have hope. There’s still two hours left in the finale. But god, am I fucking heartbroken.

I can’t tell if i’m literally just delusional or not, but seriously, there were so many scenes in season 4, so many important moments, yet this is what we’re ending with?
