On Monday my check engine light went on. Seeing I knew one of the sensors was dying I wasn't able to get her to the zone until like Wednesday the earliest. My car has had known issues with burning oil for a few months now and I've been keeping her filled and topped off.

Getting to get the engine light checked my oil in the car I had put in a week before was completely gone out of the well. Like there was a smidge of it left . By Friday it had lost a quarter of that oil. That isn't normal.

The pistons on my engine are old and aren't pulling the oil through anymore. Hence my brand new car converter on the car was yelping for help and throwing oil out the tail pipe. In the long run we had hoped KIA would uphold replacing things under the 100k warranty. They have not. And I'm upset about it. This was the first car I bought brand new and now after eight years of keeping her well maintained and low in mileage I'm basically screwed. We're looking right now for a used car to keep for about a year or two so I can set aside money for a new dealer lot no payment car. But its just sad to see my car at this state.

Ive got till December maybe January at best to say good bye to it and find her replacement .

At least ive giving her a real viking send off. She's been cleaned and detailed to the point she looks brand new . she looks better now than when I bought her and she's been good to me. Seen me through four trips up and down the east coast. But she is on her last wheels and she just too expensive for the repairs KIA wants to charge me and not honor my fucking warranty.

Def not buying from them ever again. I provided in depth service details and receipts to see if we get her a new engine but they said 'nah we'll charge 3k for a new cat plus this other stuff' when the engine is the problem. Cause she's leaving oil in the cat converter.
