Her captain always spoke with conviction, whether it was a command to their squad, or mere conversation between the two of them. It was not uncommon for him to raise his voice, with a tone as sharp as the edge of a blade. It could be biting, cold, harsh; but it could be warm, with a faint hint of amusement that he did his best to disguise, to hide.
But thisâŠthis caused her to pause.
Her taichou, the ever serious, ever wise, and mature beyond his years, Toushiro Hitsugaya wasâŠthrowing a hissy fit if she ever saw one. All because she told him they were going to an amusement park. He hadnât even responded this outlandishly when she had informed them of their beach vacation. Heâd totally notice if she took her phone out and started recording, yeah, even in all the huffing and puffing, foot stomping and shouting â heâd notice if she hit record.
With his declaration made she allowed a moment of silence to pass, a slow exhale followed as she shrugged her shoulders in mock defeat. âOh, taichou,â she cooed, gradually taking a couple steps forward. âDonât say thatâŠIf you canât ride the roller coaster, Iâll ride the bumper cars with you. And Iâm sure the carousel will have a dragon, you can ride!â Would she be frozen where she stood, or would he be lenient and only force her to do her paperwork for a whole year?
