i am so horrified over the AI bullshit change Google is doing I am actively looking for ways on switching everything I possibly had with them with alternatives. Specially my docs.

crazy how the browser that used to have the slogan "we're not evil" is now super evil
on a serious note. I have so many fond memories of google. because it used to have a way of making everything feel like a human, personal connection. The google doodles were the main ones, these like carefully crafted fun and artistic and educational games and graphics that you could play on school wifi bc what are they going to do? block google? but it was also the searches that pulled up fun features that you could show off to your friends, the corrections in the search bar to inside jokes like 'do you mean your favourite artist's favourite artist?' stuff that make it obvious there's really people behind these who put care and passion into it. I'm aware that Google has been evil for a while, and that this humanity was a manufactured face for another tech corporation, but it was done so well for my whole childhood that I can't help but be nostalgic for it.
