When Peter and Sam met it was when Sam went down to Tony’s lab to get Red Wing fixed on one of Peter’s lab days. When Peter saw Red Wing he got really excited and asked if he could work on it, Tony started to say yes but Sam cut in with a very vehement no. Peter got all sad puppy dog eyes on him and then showed him Droney. They got to talking about their respective drones and eventually Sam tentatively let Peter take a look. Peter ended up finishing it in less time than it’s taken Tony in the past and even added some improvements like longer battery and better camera quality. Since then Peter is the only one that Sam will trust with Red Wing (and his actual wings). One time when Scott was at the tower, Sam and Peter were talking about Red Wing and Droney and excitedly telling stories about them. Scott jumped in with some stories of Antony but then got really quiet and sad and said that he really missed him. Sam didn’t get it at first and went to ask what he meant, but Peter who understood what it meant because of his many experiences dealing with loss shook his head. Peter then offered to let Scott ride on Droney if he wanted and Sam jumped in offering the same with Red Wing. They ended up having a race to see who’s drone was faster it started with Scott vs Hope with Scott on Red Wing and Hope on Droney. Then Scott and Hope let Peter and Sam borrow the suits and race against each other on their own drones. Droney won both times. Peter may have been cheating just a little though because he knew exactly how both Droney and Red Wing worked (and maybe did a few modifications to Droney before this) and knew how to use that to his advantage. He also wasn’t afraid to tell hope how she could use it to her advantage. (That part about Sam, Scott, and Peter is heavily inspired by something I saw at some point but I don’t really remember where so props to that person. The parts about Sam and Peter meeting and the Droney vs Red Wing race are all from my brain though.)
