Typical Brazilian gangster genre movie. Thatâs why itâs completely not relatable. Because itâs not American, itâs not Italian, itâs not at least Indian. So what do you expect from a Brazilian gangster? Samba, football and coffee business, right? Certainly not. In the heart of the âCity of God,â the precious powder was coke. You know what it is and it is what it is. The movie started at an audible tone of voice which you probably canât avoid. But some of the things in the movie, you can avoid. Thatâs quite a problem I faced to keep up with the story sometimes it was boring and you had to go through those parts to complete the puzzle. The story is quite local and youâll get the exact view of what goes down in the snake-like Brazilian streets. If youâre in search of organized crime thriller then itâs not the one because what Iâve seen the story is about little troublemaker neighborhood imps becoming the worshiped Gods of the city. The story is quite amusing, Events are worth watching, acting quite thrilling. But even putting all these together I donât think itâs that much good. Itâs quite overrated for me as long as itâs IMDb and RT rating goes. . âHonesty doesnât pay, sucker.â . (Check other movie reviews on my website.
