Behind the wall you can see from left to right, the Old Pharmacy, Saint Drotts (Holy Trinity Church) church ruin, Saint Lars church ruin and the Cathedral of Saint Mary. The Wall of Visby by Henrik Sundholm Via Flickr: I just spent three or four days on Gotland, the major island located about 90 km off the Swedish mainland in the Baltic Sea. I had never been there before! Perhaps strange, considering it's only half a day's traveling from where I live, going by train and ferry. This is the medieval city wall around Visby. It reminded me of my trips to Tallinn, but this wall is more impressive!
