I’m back in action now, though with a bit of a handicap. I’ve had surgery on my foot and am only allowed to put minimal weight on it for the next few weeks. Photography is only possible to a limited extent. Weather permitting, I sit in my garden chair, watch the birds in the garden, and snap the occasional photo. I begin with the Wood Pigeon.

Oh, to achieve such levels of contentment. Not thinking about anything, just taking what's there, revelling in the moment.

Oh my, you look so pretty. Did you get a haircut or sumthin'?

Oh, no! This pigeon has effectively parasitised that tree and it won't be able to taste those juicy black berries.

We should thank nature every single day for giving us our favourite boob. 😭
