NR recalls theres a server room downstairs, it most likely is where the A.I.'s housing unit was stored, there could be something in there that might be causing interferrence with the A.I.

While looking, they see a small black box, similar to the one they stole from the VBD a couple gigs back. Thinking it might be the cause of disruption, Optic, Token, and Panthera agree'd to yank the black box out of the unknown server. J I H Z Z Y, our newest member at this point, had stayed upstairs to look around to see if there was any more clues upstairs. Yanking out the Black Box, the house's power sudden shuts off, causing the server room to lock down, no one could get in or out, even net access was cut besides its own local network.

Suddenly the A.I started to Emit in front of the three mercs, He thanks the crew for setting him free, but to ensure that they don't just call NETWATCH before he's made his escape, he installs a Killswitch virus. If he's killed, they will be too. He turns the house back online, and disappears, frying everything he comes across in the net.

As to what they can do about it? That's something they are still working on.

So according to their exclusive fixer, Raj, he says that our (ANON) employer says that Lazarus (the private military mega corp that has been hired by biotechnica to work against NIGHT RAID) has the black box that contains the rogueAI, and that if they broke into HQ, it's there.

Lazarus, has been decimated by NIGHT RAID and Arasaka just a couple weeks prior when this news comes to them. Their employer is saying that if they were to break in, steal some info from lazarus, they'd happily give the info to locate the black box…

Leaving the meeting, which took place at the Afterlife, Panthera steps out to be greeted with a wave and a wink from Rogue. She slides her contact info and says "Need to speak with you."

Meeting with Rogue, she sits everyone down and informs them that she knows for a fact that Raj is lying or being lied to. She knows where the rogue A.I. is. When asking how would she know where the rogue A.I was, she informs us that she has contacts at NETWATCH, and they have the A.I pinned just beyond the black wall, and they also suspect that its the one causing problems beyond the black wall.

She also inform the group that Netwatch will help them get the killswitch off, but aren't willing to say for what. Which, started to piss J I H Z Z Y off. Freshly back from our city center gig, he's sick and tired of these corps just giving us half the info. He storms off, and Mara follows after.

So, here's some things working in the background that the whole crew doesn't know.

J I H Z Z Y makes it very clear he doesnt trust Rogue and NETWATCH, they are leaving too much room for them to try and fuck us too. If she says is true, that Raj is lying or being lied to. Where do they turn? Maybe Mara's brother?

I need to make some dividers or something shiiiieeettt.

Mara, has promised to her brother Jayce Adams, on her way out of City center, scared for Jack's life, willing to throw everything away for them, she agree'd that if he got the killswitch off her, she would do whatever he wanted. Including becoming a C-SWAT Dog.

You might ask, why does MAXTAC want Mara? BECAUSE SHE'S BUILT DIFFIN LIKE DAVID MARTINEZ. I jest, but she does have the same affinity for cyber/borgware. She's able to push herself for more chrome. (I dont have her showing her chrome, because I spent the extra money for REAL-SKIN covering. I do plan on later changing that depending on how the story goes, she was trying to HIDE what she was doing from Jack and her family, they'd be real sus if she was suddenly looking like an actual cyborg.) the fact she took the huge step in her Sigframe, taking little humanity loss (reality DICE GODS LOVE MARA, and i do wanna go on about her chrome addiction so badly, i have so many thoughts and feelings on it.) speaks to why Maxtac would want such a rarity. They have their chance to have an unstoppable force on their hands if she's given the right therapy and behavioral chip.

Mara would much rather pick the devil she knows, which in this case would be MAXTAC, and take the slipped in modified Behavioral chip, so it behaved similar to a dolls. She clocks in for work before she leaves her apartment, her consciousness goes offline, and when she clocks out back at home in her apartment at the EOD, she will awake in her apartment where she was when she left. She'd have no memory of what she had to do for work. It's not a choice she wants to make... This ends her freedom. Her life revolves around MAXTAC and her shell is used to do unspeakable things.

OKAY, SO this has gotten way more winded than I had expected. I hope this answers some questions about it. I still have a lot of questions myself, as this is all still going on currently. Well.. Hopefully starting up again soon. We're close to getting it off, I hope

I have more thoughts on this topic, I could go on. I love picking apart the little moments and just analyze them and doing this has given me more clarity on Mara and her struggle with getting the killswitch off..
