I was having a reasonably good day until my mood suddenly bottomed out... and now my neighbors are in the courtyard outside my window blasting honky-tonk country at an Obnoxiously loud volume.... IM GOING FUCKING FERaL

maybe this is putting too much pressure on myself, but simply reading isn’t enough for me; I really need to make the most of a book, understand the full context of it—the authors philosophy, the societal and political norms during the time the book took place and when it was released, the reception, themes, prose, like I need to make sure I take in every ounce out of it or else it’s just not worth it.
