how much time does it take to bond with a hedgehog? and what are the necessary steps to bond with them? :o
it takes a long time to bond with a hedgehog, but it can fluxuate. all hedgehogs have different temperaments! there r more social ones and more shy ones, but the average hedgehog is pretty shy.
the majority of experts reccommend to bond with your hedgehog, keep them with you for at least an hour each day, but not while doing high intensity activities. just hold em on your lap or something until they relax! playtime is also necessary. a fenced in area with some toys is a good place for your hedgehog to get exercise! they are very free-roaming so this is important.Â
after a while, try putting somethjing that smells like you and is non-threatening in the cage with your hedgehog! this will get them more comfortable with your scent.

hedgehogs are legal to keep as pets in most states, but i believe california doesnt allow it? i know illinois does and thats what i care abot because thats where i am
they are omnivores! their favorite snacks are mealworms.
hedgehogs have quills that hurt a good bit, but those only puff up when they’re scared. when calm and happy and pet properly, a hedgehog’s quills are smooth and soft. they also have a cute fuzzy underbelly!
