Birds n Butts or whatever
I'm blogging about my ✨ art journey ✨ now. Blog will be 18+ at some point. For now nobody's at all naked.
Shouting into the void for the time being - but principally I'm working on my art so I can explore my TTRPG character, Riffle, a transfem wild magic sorcerer jackdaw-lady with terrible daddy issues and a deeply unhealthy fascination with self-altering magic. I remain in denial about the furry allegations. She doesn't even have fur. They're feathers.
This is the first real attempt I've made at giving her a concrete visual design, and I'm proud of the skills I've learned through the process. I'm trying to walk away & call it finished, but I'll probably amend some details and edit this post with a new version later.
I'm a complete amateur, surrounded by friends who are professional artists, who I'm constantly in awe of & who I pester endlessly for advice & CC.
I'm working on a Huion Kamvas 13 Gen 3 (which is fantastic when it works) on Krita (which is fantastic because it's free).
Going forward I'm just gonna reblog art I adore, particularly if I want to steal someone's vibes, along with whatever I'm drawing each day. I'll try to remember to tag my own art with #rifflin for future reference.
I don't have an artfight - this year - but if I stick with my art and develop my confidence enough I'm hoping I'll feel up to it in 2026.
So... hi, I guess!
