feb 25
~13.5 miles; 10.5 mph pace
home -> coffee shop -> bagel shop (bust) -> brunch restaurant -> train station
notes: - good pace for shorter ride! could add more miles at this pace
- reached 12 mph during the cruise in the middle (thanks flat roads!)
- sunscreen is always a good idea
feb 18
~26 miles; ~9.5 mile per hour pace
home -> bagel shop -> park -> home
notes: - bagels were good, could use a heartier filling or more veggies overall (for refueling)
- more stretching afterwards needed
- proper fueling is important, affects seen on mental in following days
- length was good, very doable for a half day ride; felt very nice for the average pace. we went a lot faster (avg. 10 mph) on the way home since we wanted to beat the dark, which probably contributed to a lot more soreness lol Â
- path was good, turns out paved roads are nice to ride on, and bike boulevards are great to minimize traffic (:Â
- weather turned cold FAST, need to figure out bike packing for layers
