J’s birthday was yesterday, and I wanted to write a little paragraph about our day if you don’t mind..
Never have I met someone who is as real as my girlfriend is. She doesn’t want a huge party or an expensive day filled with nice materialistic things. She wanted time together, and that is exactly what matters in the end. She told me she didn’t care what we did for her birthday, she just wanted to spend it with me. I literally fall more in love with this girl every minute, she really is incredible. Anyways, I woke her up early to get the day started with breakfast at her favorite place, took her to Bath & Body Works and got her some holiday smellys, got some snacks at the grocery store, and sat by the fireplace during the day. We talked, we laughed, we fell in love all over again. It’s all about being in the moment and appreciating what we have as a couple, and what God continues to do for us daily. I made us a reservation at our favorite restaurant, Mastro’s, for dinner. We got dressed up and went out for quite possibly the best dinner we have ever had together. I’m still full. But the whole night we were completely invested in each other, no distractions, all good vibes, all smiles. Jess inspires me. We can all get caught in this materialistic world, but she really brought me back down to speed last night and made me realize the importance of time spent together, no matter where we are or what we do. So to that, I would like to say “thank you” to the one who has my heart. I love you so much, cheers to another incredible year together, and cheers to many more to come.
Happy Birthday J,
-Ryan
