#ribpattern

We are going to use the stitches that we have learned in previous videos to make a pattern. The pattern that we are using today is commonly called the ribbing pattern. The Rib pattern is 4 stitches that repeat. The pattern is knit 2, purl 2.

In this video, i cast on 20 stitches so the pattern will repeat 5 times.

You can also change the pattern if you want the ribbing to be skinnier or thicker. For a skinnier pattern, you will work in multiples of 2. You will knit 1, purl 1. For a thicker pattern, you will work in multiples of 6. You will knit 3, purl 3.
