she couldnât really see it behind the GATE, but it looked... different. almost untouched. not completely, but definitely unlike anything else she had seen, even in the beginning. the motel they stayed in when she was a kid and lee was still taking care of her had NOTHING on that place. and to think she almost didnât want to come. when that man â- daryl, was it? â- offered to take them, clementineâs first instinct was to say NO. groups never worked, and after spending so much time with aj alone on the road, she just didnât feel comfortable with other people.
but aj insisted. he was so young and already so TIRED. he was just six, and clementine sometimes forgot how hard this life could be on him. going someplace safe, with walls, food and other people watching their backs â- it would be better. it HAD to be better. âif kenny was alive, he wouldnât do itâ, she thought to herself. but as the gates of ALEXANDRIA slowly opened before them, she had to put those thoughts to rest. they were there now.
some people were already at the gate, almost as if they were waiting for them â- or at least, waiting for the man that brought them along. so many clean faces and, surprisingly, one of them, she recognized. it took her a moment, it had been such a LONG time. but she knew him... back at the drug store, where she met so many others that were now gone. â glenn? â she frowned, doubt clear in her voice as she wasnât entirely SURE her mind wasnât playing any tricks on her. â is that... you? â
