Kid game! The awkward hilarity that would be Birdy and Kaleni hellspawn.
“Mo-oooom!”
From her desk, Kaleni looked up, rubbing one eye. “What, kid?” she asked, squinting at him as she tried to return to the world around her after going through countless shipping manifests.
The little boy grinned up at her as he leaned over, hands behind his back. “I got somethin’ for ya!” he said, looking positively pleased with himself.
At three years old, Korben was already smarter than most of his peers. Or at least, that was what Kaleni thought. It was probably true— the half-Zabrak was quite inquisitive and definitely precocious. And with his mop of brown hair with little horns peeking through, and a toothy grin, he looked like one too.
“Whatcha for for me?” she asked, shoving the datapad off the desk and motioning for the kid to get on her lap.  He did so, scrambling up there and leaning up to give his mother a kiss.
“Call daddy. I want him to see too!”
She wrapped her arms around him and nodded. “All right..” It was always slightly dangerous to give Birdy a call, especially when their son was involved, but if Korben was asking, she was giving in. Kaleni reached over to her holocom, and quickly made the call.
After a few moments, the answer came, with the holographic form of Birdy appearing. “Oi. I’m a little busy, Ka..oh, hi Korben!” The difference in his demeanor once he saw his son there was obvious. Korben, however, didn’t notice. He just stared at his dad like he would a hero.
“Daddy. Come to Mom’s house! I need to show you both something!”
Kaleni made a slight face and shrugged. “S’fine with me,” she murmured to the holocom.
Birdy nodded. “Be there soon, kid.”
It wasn’t long before the door to Kaleni’s apartment opened. Birdy, after all, did have the keycode in case anything happened and Korben needed attending to. He didn’t even bother hitting the chime, he just let himself in, slouching against the wall after he entered the main living room, where Kaleni was back to her datapad and shipping manifests and kid was drawing pictures of manka cat jedi knights.
“Hey kid,” he said, grinning at the three-year old. He just glanced over to Kaleni, putting all of his attention on their child. He leaned down to pick him up, swinging Korben around a few times before setting him down and kissing the top of his head. “Whatcha need to show me?”
With that, Kaleni put her datapad back down and lounged back in her chair, hands behind her head.
Korben giggled softly and held up one hand. “Gimme a moment, I’m getting it!” he called off before darting to his bedroom.
Kaleni looked over to Birdy. “Ya doin’ all right?” she asked in a tone that said she really didn’t care all too much what the answer was. And from the shrug she got in return, it was obvious Birdy didn’t exactly care either.
“Yeah. Business is all right,” he said without much emotion. “As good as it ever is.”
“Mm. Good. I guess.”
The awkward moment was broken by Korben running back into the living room, something large and unwieldy in his arms. It looked almost like a bunch of his toys that were glued together into something that somewhat resembled a person. There were arms, at least. And legs. But the head was a jumbled mess of building blocks and stuffed animals.
“Look! I made a magic man!” Korben said with a grin, setting the contraption down on the ground in the middle of the room. “It’s magic and it makes wishes come true! Mom, you try first!”
She chuckled and leaned forward slightly, resting her elbows on her knees. “Do I have to say it out loud?”
“Yep!”
“Okay then…” She thought for a moment, and then nodded. “I wish… I wish for a new hyperdrive for the Angelic Disaster!”
“Okay, your turn, Daddy!” he said, pointing to Birdy.
Birdy laughed, humoring his son. “I wish for a new speeder. What about you?”
Korben’s grin vanished, and he suddenly looked very serious. He looked between Kaleni and Birdy with his bright orange eyes.
“I wish Mom and Daddy would both live here so we could be a real family.”

I am SO blatantly stealing this from the awesome lesatho (rhommellegacy)Â
Since NaNoWriMo is over, and THE DRESS is getting closer to being presentable, I think I'll have time for some prompts!Â
TMI Tuesday: Bad Romance (the return)
Almost a year exactly. Hum.
So here we go, the rules of the Bad Romance game.
Send me the name of one of your characters.
Send me the name of one of my characters.
Choose VIOLENCE or PORN.
I will deliver (eventually) either a writing or a doodle and post it on this tumblr under a cut. (or if you want it returned as an ask, specify that)
As an example, here are last year’s writings.
Here is my askbox: do the thing.
note: If I have not RP’d with your chosen characters or have no access to reference things, I cannot promise accuracy that’s just the way it goes yep. Also these can be counted as noncanon or au whatevers since violents occasionally leads to death >:3
SO YES.Â
My characters are here. (It's a WIP, my character page, so please bear with me..)Â
