Morning mist, canine teeth, black volcanic soil, rough wool, the popping of damp wood in the fire, calloused hands, chains dragging across stone, gruff whispered praise, rain-wet cobblestone

Most people think the Barghest doesn’t truly exist. He is a story, a tale meant to frighten. Others know better, having seen him and his pack of dogs pursuing some unlucky target. A figure with a head of a dog skull, over six and a half feet tall. He steals people away, snatching them up in the night like a monster from the shadows. Now, there are stories he is being seen again nearby, and that his target is the missing heir of the kingdom. Relentlessly he pursues them, seeming to always be only a step behind. He seems desperate to catch them, driven by some unknowable motivation.
