@rgularguy &&. said... he's just casually staring. if you notice him staring, he might do a little tilt of the head, and his smile might get bigger (hi<;3)
he's no stranger to being labeled an ECCENTRIC, himself. the precise reasoning has changed over the centuries — first, for his peculiar manner of dress and uncannily pure nature, then for his brusque personality and tendency to drift soundlessly, gracefully, effortlessly, from place to place like a feather on the wind. his very existence has been steeped in STRANGENESS from the moment he was able to comprehend the act of existing at all — forever an anomaly, cursed to walk the razor-wire line between mortal and divine. never fully able to step over to either side.
yet ren thinks, staring at this ... person, he has finally met his match. the crown of eccentricity snatched away from his unsuspecting head. he isn't sure how to feel about that. ( particularly when the other sees fit to SMILE at him ... as if there's anything to smile about. )
consciously or otherwise, ren finds himself MIRRORING much the same gesture — canting his head, meeting the stare with bright, unwavering gaze of his own. he doesn't smile, countenance instead reflecting a look of genuine confusion. as if he wonders whether there is something on his face to inspire the attention. ( perhaps it's his face itself? that isn't too unusual. ) eventually, the wanderer grows tired of this little impromptu STARING CONTEST, and deigns to speak.
