For the Joseph Swan and Photography in Sunderland event next week, we will be showcasing new work by @thelostness. The Lostness Cycles, a commissioned set of new mutoscope images of Sunderland, will be displayed for the first time at the Athenaeum Building. The Lostness Cycles is a series of kinetic photographic works investigating crossovers between digital and analogue, still and moving image, spatio-temporal navigation, and perception. They comprise one strand of work created as part of thelostness.club, an offshoot project initiated by Wideyed photography collective members Lucy Carolan and Richard Glynn.
