Here's that double-standard again. They like to claim that "sure Ruby and Weiss have the same age gap but they were always equals while Oscar is a child", like... when has Ruby treated Oscar as anything but an equal?
They acknowledge that Ruby's age gap with Oscar is the same as Wiess but then turn around and go "but Ruby literally sees Oscar as a little brother" when she has never made such a claim?
Since when has Ruby ever treated Oscar like a kid younger than her? Why do people like to catagorize Oscar as "little brother and this is very much totally canon" when Ruby hasn't done anything but treat him with some human decency.
They like to point to the airship scene at the end of V6 as "look she's treating him like a proud older sister would, she sees him as a little brother". ("Oscar made a successful crash landing! He's a fourteen year old farmhand!"). But that ignores the entire context of that scene
1. Ruby changed the subject because she was flustered having everyone amazed by her accomplishments not actually to gush over Oscar.
2. Everyone else kind of just did their ususal stuff, Oscar was one of the only ones that did anything out of the ordinary that could be considered impressive.
3. The real meta reason why Ruby even brought up Oscar at all is to lead into the conversation of Oscar admitting that Oz came back not just to randomly gush over Oscar.
Meanwhile, they acknowledge that Wiess called Ruby a child when they first met and treated her like one, but apparently that doesn't count becauae treating her like a child to insult her while complimenting a 14 year old crash landing a plane on their own is proof that Oscar is just a little kid/brother to Ruby.
Ruby has literally never stated, not once, that she Oscar as her brother. Meanwhile, Weiss has called Team RWBY her family, but that doesn't count apparently.
And don't even get me started on the fact that they called Oscar "Oz in a little boy's body" like what the actual fuck??? Way to invalidate literally his entire character. Smh
These claims just get more wild and hypocritical by the day.
