He heaves a sigh-- it’s neither soft nor loud, but enough to be heard. The tension that threads itself through the halls is threadbare, and he can feel himself tugging on it more and more each day. Whenever they pass each other, speak, he can almost see it, too.
This was going to come eventually.
Whether she’s trying to ignore it and trying to figure out what to say, he decides it’s better to just face it sooner than later. Getting it out will be good for the both of them, seeing as how he doesn’t like to see her bottle things up.
“Rey.”
Marco doesn’t move from his position, leaning slightly over the back of the couch. He doesn’t look directly at her yet, opting to wait, but his eyes are focused.
“It’ll only feel worse if you don’t say anything.”
