Rexona Run to your Beat 2014
Run to your Beat 2014 is the first race Iโve run in MOA. I was looking forward to it because itโs a new course and the race itself is a fun one based on the write-ups I have seen.
The gun start for the 10k category is at 3:30am. Since MOA is a bit far from my house, we left at a little past 1am. We considered making time for parking too because there would be lots of participants. We still got derailed by traffic due to road works but still managed to get in early. I had lots of time to relax, go to the potty, pose for pictures and enjoy the crowd.
When the race started, I tried my best to hold back on my pace. I wanted to conserve my energy so I can run without stopping for as long as possible. It was a good move because I managed to shave 3 minutes off my 10k time.
Run to your Beat is a fun race. There were three tunnels and each one treated the runners to amazing light shows, DJโs and live bands. Although these tunnels became choke points due to runners who stopped for photo ops, you can breeze through them by dodging those who were in your way.
