Rewriting the ending
Will moves on. He meets new people, experiences new things and finds a place for himself in the world. But there’s a tightness in his chest that has never gone away. A heartache. And reminders of him blur his vision. He’s everywhere and no where. He can never get away from the boy he loves the boy he loved.
Mike is consumed by his guilt. Not only for remaining in his world of fantasies, choosing to remain oblivious to the urgency of the supernatural warfares. But for never truly loving her. He believes that if he could actually love her, maybe he’d be enough. Maybe then, she wouldn’t have left. Maybe then she would still be alive. The shield for his heart is missing. His feelings overwhelm him. He can’t run away anymore. From the years of trauma. From the years of repression. From the boy he loves.
And so the rest unfolds, a snowball becoming an avalanche 💙💛
