We are pleased to announce ARTBOOK @ Hauser Wirth & Schimmel, a new contemporary art #bookstore, which will open within Hauser Wirth & Schimmel's new Los Angeles gallery on Sunday 13 March 2016. ARTBOOK @ #hauserwirthschimmel will spotlight artists, movements and genres throughout the year to support and complement current #exhibitions at the #gallery, as well as new developments in art practices and writing. These rotating thematic displays will include new releases in addition to important backlist books, titles from independent #publishers, imported catalogues, and out-of-print selections alongside @hauserwirth’s own publications. The first thematic spotlight will be devoted to books about women artists, with titles chosen to contextualise the inaugural Hauser Wirth & Schimmel exhibition ‘Revolution in the Making: Abstract Sculpture by Women, 1947 – 2016’.
