1. a kiss (mutantverse— because yes)

As far as rallies go, he can’t exactly say he’s surprised at the outcome. It was to be expected, really. The hatred that some non-mutants harbored against mutants still existed, and the threats were still very much real. Combeferre just thanked whatever gods there were that this time nobody got seriously injured. However, Bahorel, Feuilly, Enjolras and Eponine are zip-tied and sitting on the curb. Courfeyrac and Jehan are gone, having taken Gavroche back home before he could start something with an officer for touching his sister, and Joly was tending to Bossuet, Grantaire and Cosette’s minor injuries (with a worried Marius hovering literally inches away, not having left his girlfriend’s side since arriving).

Combeferre himself was busy speaking to an officer about his friend’s releases, and after what seemed much too long for his liking, the two finally reached an agreement. All four were to be released with all (alright, most) charges dropped. As soon as the ties were cut, Combeferre instantly draws Enjolras close, leaning their foreheads together with a relieved sigh, hands moving to rub small circles around the fresh red lines left on the others wrists. “He said they usually don’t let our kind go free, but I managed to persuade him— legitimately, too…. I thought I’d lost you for a moment.” He means it to be light, playful even, but his eyes betray the worry that still lingered before he leans in and captures his boyfriend’s lips with his own as if it were the last one they would share.

Sadly, I won't be able to be around today (Friday night for you). I have to go into the office and help unpack innumerable boxes of files. *sigh* I am so sorry, and I promise I will do my best to around tomorrow (Saturday) to write with you. If not, I will definitely be here on Sunday evening. 

I love you all, and thank you for putting up with me so patiently.

Jehan lifted his head out of a massive tome of poetry to smile at his best friend as she plopped down beside him-- Combeferre was barely visible over his pile of books, and Joly was likewise hard at work, but the two spared a smile for the brunette. Enjolras was, as usual, hard at work at his corner table, blond head bent and pen scratching feverishly, not even bothering to look around. 

How about you let them watch tv?

That’s even worse.
