SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE - REVIEW ROUNDUP
Ever since itās release, I havenāt been able to put Super Smash Bros. Ultimate down.Ā Being new to the series, I donāt think Iām personally ready to step into the ring with all of those from the N64 arena yet but Iāve been loving the World of Light mode as it has so many different challenges to take on.
Hereās what the critics have been saying on this great new title from Nintendo.
IGN - 9.4/10
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lives up to its name, offering the most comprehensive game in the series to date. It has an absurd amount to play, fight, and unlock ā though that can be to its detriment at times. While the World of Light adventure mode isnāt reason alone to get Smash Bros., itās still a consistently amusing and shockingly large campaign, and a worthy compliment to Ultimateās incredible multiplayer core.

Ultimate is a comprehensive, considered, and charming package that refines and builds on an already strong and enduring fighting system.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate takes characters weāve played for decades and remasters them into a robust, fantastically enjoyable package.

The Escapist - 10/10
In an age where instant gratification is an essential feature in nearly all art, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate might seem almost miserly in its slow drip and patient reveals of its staggering depth. After more than 20 hours with the game, Iād still only unlocked two-thirds of the main cast and explored half of the World of Lightās map. Rather than feel irritated or cheated by its patience, I instead found Ultimate a luxurious experience, every bit as meditative in practice as its fights were bombastic. This is a game to be enjoyed over time, to be savored with a refreshed palate after youāve spent some time away.

That completes our roundup and, as youād expect, Nintendo have once again given a stellar showing of one of their flagship titles.
Personally, Iād never given Smash Bros. much time in the past as I couldnāt really get engaged in them but this has had me hooked right away!

Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! I hope youāre all doing well today. Iāve been testing out a few concealers as of late and, rather than doing separate reviews on each, I figured Iād throw them all into one post for you. So, if youāre interested in hearing my thoughts on a few of the concealers Iāve been testing out lately, just keep on reading.Ā
As someone with hella intense dark circles under my eyes, concealer is something that I pretty much canāt go without if Iām wearing makeup. Even if I am wearing a full coverage foundation, I still feel inclined to use concealer to keep things together. I also have fine lines and *silent cry* the beginnings of wrinkles under my eyes, so I need my concealer to help my situation out as much as possible. So, because of all of my under eye issues, Iām always looking for concealers that will cover my problem areas as much as possible without looking crazy. Iāve tried a few recently that I wanted to share with you, so thatās what weāre doing today.
Now that weāve gotten the pleasantries out of the way, letās get into it!

The first concealer weāre going to talk about is the Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer, $32, that comes in 9 shades. This is the only light-to-medium coverage concealer that I have in my collection. Like I told you guys earlier, I have such intense dark circles (in MY mind anyway) that I typically go for medium-to-full coverage when it comes to my concealer. So, when I saw that this one isnāt full coverage, I was hesitant. The first time I used this, I definitely wasnāt into it. I didnāt like the way it was wearing or making my under eye look. Turns out, it was looking cray because I had used an under eye primer under it and set it with too much powder. When I used it the next day, I skipped the primer and lightly set it, and ended up loving how it looked.
For me, this is a concealer to use on minimal makeup days. Although it isnāt full coverage, I do find that it covered my dark circles pretty well and didnāt dry out my under eye area once I figured out how to work with it. So, I would recommend this one to anyone that is into light coverage makeup and doesnāt have too much they need to cover up.

The next concealer I have been testing out over the past few weeks is the bareMinerals barePro 16-hr Full Coverage Concealer, $24, that comes in 15 shades. The claims on this concealer are pretty hefty. This product claims to be full coverage and super pigmented, and will cover dark circles without creasing all while protecting your under eyes from environmental stressors.
Okay so, hereās my thing with this. I love how creamy it is. It glides on the under eye so smoothly, and I agree with the claim that it hydrates the under eye. I also think that it does a great job covering up dark circles. I donāt really have any complaints about this one either. I would recommend this one for those of you that have a lot going on under your eyes and are looking for something full coverage that doesnāt dehydrate your under eye and will last literally all day without looking crazy.

Up next, we have the super hyped up Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal and Contour, $7, that comes in 18 shades. This concealer came out right around the time of the Tarte Shape Tape Foundation fiasco, so everyone was out looking for dupes of the cult classic concealer. So, itās safe to say that this was a āYouTube made me buy itā product for me. Everyone swears this is a dupe for the Shape Tape, but I donāt agree with that sentiment. While it does last very well without creasing, itās not nearly as dry on the under eye as the Shape Tape. Also, I have to build this one up a little bit to get the full full coverage it claims to give.
I just donāt think this concealer is as life changing as people hyped it up to be. I mean, itās good, but not super duper fantastic. I wouldnāt call it a complete fail, because it definitely does the job. I just am not shouting from the rooftops about it, if that makes sense.
As a whole, I think that all of these concealers are worth giving a shot if youāre looking for a new one for your collection. However, I would definitely suggest picking one based on your needs and preferences. If youāre not a full coverage girl or guy for whatever reason, I wouldnāt recommend the bareMinerals barePro. Instead, the Becca Aqua Luminous is a better option for you, especially if you have a more dry under eye area. Donāt just buy something based on the hype, yāall.
I am already working on a part 2 to this concealer review roundup, as well as a makeup battle, so stay tuned for that. Let me know in the comments below what concealer youāve been loving, or hating, recently.
Until next time, Beauties! xoxo
Review Roundup: Concealers from Becca, BareMinerals & MakeupĀ Revolution Hello and welcome back, Beauties!! I hope you're all doing well today. I've been testing out a few concealers as of late and, rather than doing separate reviews on each, I figured I'd throw them all into one post for you.
Hello and welcome back, Beauties! I hope youāre all having a fantastic day so far. Iāve told you guys before how much I adore bareMinerals, but realized I havenāt given you guys a comprehensive review of all the items Iāve tried from the brand. So, thatās what weāre going to do today. If youāre interested in hearing about some of the brandās products that Iāve tried, just keep on reading.Ā
bareMinerals is one of the first higher end brands that I tried when it came to complexion products. Even before I got as into makeup as I am now, I was purchasing from them. What drew me in initially was their powder foundation since I wasnāt into liquid foundations then. As my taste in makeup changed, I found that bareMinerals was still a staple brand in my collection. So today, Iām going to share with you my thoughts on the products Iāve tried from the brand.
Now that weāve gotten all that out of the way, letās get into it!
image via ulta.com
The very first product that I tried from bareMinerals was their Loose Powder Matte Foundation, $29. I think I still have this somewhere in the depths of my collection. I loved it because I could adjust my coverage based on how my skin was acting. I wasnāt wearing primers or anything at that time, so I heavily relied on products themselves to give me what I was looking for without any assistance. Now that my makeup tastes have changed, I donāt find myself reaching for this. Not because itās a bad product, but because I prefer pressed powders now. Iād recommend this to someone that doesnāt like the feel of makeup on their face but wants to even things out.

One face powder that I always go back to, regardless of what other products Iām loving, is the bareSkin Perfecting Veil, $27, in the shade Dark to Deep. Iāve gone through so many of these that I canāt even tell you exactly how many Iāve repurchased. I currently have major pan on one and a backup waiting for me in my backups bag. It does exactly what the name implies, perfect your skin. It does so without making things look cakey or dry. I donāt know what kind of magic they put in this stuff, but Iām definitely into it.

I used to love the Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream, $30, because it was so easy to use and didnāt feel heavy on the skin. Now, Iām not really into tinted moisturizers and such, so I wouldnāt necessarily call it a favorite. I definitely think itās a great product with nice light to medium coverage, but itās just not my vibe anymore. I may revisit it in the summer and see how I feel about it. It comes in twelve shades, which is awesome for a tinted moisturizer, so if thatās what youāre into, Iām sure they have a shade that will work for you.
Iām not going to go on and on about the barePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation, $34, too much, because I literally canāt stop talking about it as it is. I love this foundation. Itās my favorite foundation right now for sure. The coverage is amazing, t lasts all day on the skin without caking or breaking up, and comes in a wide variety of shades and undertones. I recently did a full review on this product, so check it out here to get more details on it. I wear the shade Cappuccino for reference.
While weāre on the subject of the barePro line, I had to give a shoutout to the barePro Performance Wear Powder Foundation, $30. I wear this in the shade Cappuccino just like I do in the liquid foundation. It gives a medium-to-full coverage with a natural matte finish. I havenāt used this as much as I have the foundation, but I think itās a really good powder foundation so far. I havenāt used it for a long enough period of time to definitively say whether I love it or hate it, but can say with certainty that I like it, if that makes sense.
The last complexion products I want to talk about are the concealers. I havenāt tried any of the powder concealers yet, but Iām definitely a fan of their cream and liquid ones.
The barePro 16 Hour Full Coverage Concealer, $24, is the newest to my collection and the brand. Iāve only used this once, so I canāt say how I feel about it just yet. However, I can recommend with confidence the bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer, $21. I use this pretty much every single day over all kinds of foundations, and even on days when I donāt wear foundation at all. It gives me decent coverage, but I wouldnāt exactly call it full coverage right off the bat, at least not for me. I have hereditary dark circles under my eyes that color correcting doesnāt even really hide well, so I donāt necessarily expect a concealer to do it. I will say that it definitely lasts all day under my eyes without drying them out or breaking down. I have fine lines, so literally everything settles into them. The Correcting Concealer, $21, is nice but not my favorite. The coverage is medium for sure. What I like about it is that it gives me some brightness under my eyes that I typically have to use a much lighter concealer to achieve.
Last summer, bareMinerals came out with the Invisible Bronze Powder Bronzer, $28, and the Invisible Glow Powder Highlighter, $28. I didnāt enjoy either of these if Iām being totally honest with you guys. The highlight was a little too subtle for my personal taste, and the bronzer just wasnāt for me. Both felt a little dry to the touch when I swatched them, which was another thing I didnāt like about them.

The Gen Nude Powder Blushes, $24, were released around the same time as the barePro Concealer, so these are fairly new. They come in nudes, peaches, pinks and mauves designed to cater to all skintones. Iām still testing these (I have two shades), but enjoy them so far. Theyāre pigmented without being TOO pigmented. Iāll have a full review up on these soon. I want to have a little bit more time with them first.
The final items I want to talk to you guys about are the bareMinerals lip products. I LOVE their glosses as well as their liquid lipsticks. They have the Gen Nude Buttercream glosses, $19, Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lips, $19, as well as the Statement Matte Liquid Lipstick range, $19, and the Moxie Plumping Gloss range, $18. They have traditional lipsticks as well, but I donāt have much experience with those. However, Iāve tried the glosses and liquid lipsticks and highly recommend them. The matte liquid lipsticks arenāt drying or flaky on the lips, and the glosses give you super amounts of shine without being too sticky.
As a whole, I think that bareMinerals is a brand that is definitely worth your coins. All of their foundations and powders have an SPF in them, so youāre getting sun protection with your coverage, and their shade ranges on a majority of their products are fantastic. I havenāt delved too deep into their eyeshadows or skincare yet, but I plan to as soon as Iām off my low buy. I canāt recommend this brand to you guys enough.
If you made it to the end of this post, youāre the real MVP! Let me know in the comments below what your favorite bareMinerals product/products is/are.
Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
