Revells-19 Musician!AU Moodboard.  (This probably only makes sense to me and @harrywells at the moment.)

Lovely commission I got of my ship Revells-19 (Reverb/HR) by @majorlaurens. 

These are gathered from a discussion with @harrywells​, who was so helpful in coming up with ideas for why Reverb ended up how he is.  The more I’ve thought about headcanons, the more I like HR & Reverb as a ship.

Earth-2 Cisco never got his foot in the door for a science career.  He sees his classmates getting all these great opportunities and he can’t catch a break.

The constant rejection wears him down, it leads to him getting angry and bitter over time.  He knows he’s good at what he does, so why is he overlooked when so many people he knows aren't?

He tries for YEARS to find a good science job.  Meanwhile he's working in some shitty restaurant/bar/whatever. FINALLY he catches a break. It's his dream job. It's going amazingly, he has great coworkers. It's everything he could hope for.  And then it's only a couple months later that the project they initially hired him for has its funding fall through.  The particle accelerator happens and the people that were funding his research get skittish and withdraw their funding.  So he had it but now he can't get even the tiniest bit of it back. Everything depended on that for Cisco to move on.

So he had it but now he can't get even the tiniest bit of it back.  Then here come these powers... it's amazing. He throws himself into mastering them and then he's just so much better than everyone else.  He can do these amazing things and they can't.

Just this bitterness builds up over time because he knows he deserves better but the world didn't give him a chance, it took away his chance. So now that he has all this power why should he give it a second chance after all it's hurt him.

Some of his anger gets directed at Harrison Wells, because if it weren't for him this wouldn't have happened.  His life would have started looking up, and so that leads to him agreeing to work with Zoom.

I picture Reverb and HR meeting during the time where Earth-19 is being invaded by another earth?  Not sure if this lines up with the established timeline so shhhhh  HR tries to stake out breach locations as research for his writing.  There's some breaches that are constant, which are restricted areas.  But there are also inconsistent breach appearances.  HR has been watching those for a pattern, and he uses it as a basis for where he tries to watch for potential breach activity.

Reverb’s dislike for e2! Wells is why he takes interest in HR watching the breaches. And he wants to hate him too. But this Wells hasn't done anything wrong. He's trying so hard, and Francisco can relate.

HR catches his attention because he's not a scientist like so many of the others.  And at some point while Reverb is observing breaches he gets attached. He doesn't realize it, until suddenly this defenseless version of Wells gets swept up in danger and that's not okay with him. And he's powerful enough now that if something is not okay with him he can do something about it.

So he ends up snatching this Wells over to his Earth for safe keeping, Or maybe to a completely other earth that's tranquil and he likes to retreat to, and is just like, "shit, what do I do now? What do I do with him, he's so excited and asking so many questions?!  He's being so grateful and nice to him. And when was the last time someone was so happy to see him and not afraid or disdainful or angry or wanting something?"

He gets to be normal around HR. This Wells is so excited and intrigued by his powers, he's not afraid of him, he's not dismissive of him. And so he starts going off Earth 2 to see him and get some sense of stability and normalcy that has been completely lost to him on Earth 2.

Reverb likes to take HR places on different earth's. Places he's found that interest him. He gets less drama when they go out on earths that aren't Earth-2.   Reverb lets HR do his makeup sometimes, and will also do HR's if they're going out. Reverb is better at makeup then him though.

Which one cried during a fucking disney movie?

Generally it’s HR, but Reverb gets really emotional over Big Hero 6.

Who put a goddamned fork in the microwave?

HR, he completely forgot he needed to take it off before putting the food in the microwave.

Who does the silly hands-over-the-eyes “Guess who” thing?

They both totally do this.  Reverb especially when he pops over to surprise HR on Earth-19.

Who puts their cold hands/feet on their partner?

HR does this and complains about it being cold.  Reverb proceeds to wrap HR in his leather jacket and plonk a cup of warm coffee in his hands.

Who had that embarrassing Reality TV marathon?

HR is weak for dating or dancing reality TV.  Reverb teases him about Vibing spoilers to them.

Who laughs more during sex?

HR, definitely.  Though in Musician!Verse it’s a pretty even split.

WHO IS THE LITTLE SPOON?

So, apparently post-assignment 1am me thought this ship would be interesting?  I am calling it Revells-19.  And now I'm attached and have headcanons.  But it can basically be summed up by saying, Reverb is deadly and will kill you if you mess with his innocent ray of sunshine boyfriend HR?
