   𝘀𝗼 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. reno isn’t impressed, hardly even interested in what a former corneo---that brute---mouthpiece has to say. thing is, 𝘳𝘶𝘧𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵, and reno knows enough about minding his business to dare and ask tseng. and because he hasn’t got a lick of an idea of what the ulterior motive is, the invasion of his space is met with a halfhearted squint of eyes. unwavering. to his detriment, it seems---------

   leslie snaps the goggles on his face.

Its quiet. In the corner of the room, a record player emits something soft and gentle to fit the mood, and Wedge is comfortably lounged against Leslie's chest. It's a quick and easy recipe for sleep, he thinks, the music mixed with the beautifully gentle rhythm of Leslie's heartbeat.

He's used to Biggs' heartbeat, loud and fast and strong - beautiful in a much different way [but not suited well for sleeping].

Leslie's is calm. Wedge sometimes has to strain to hear one beat from the next above the sound of the music. It's also slow, the perfect consistent rhythm that has Wedge's eyelids feeling like bags of sand.

Yeah, this is nice. He thinks perhaps he can get used to this, if Leslie allows him to keep coming around.

His final thought as he drifts off to sleep is one of peace, and a small smile curls his lips.

𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓  𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄  𝐇𝐄  𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃  𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅  𝐈𝐍  𝐖𝐀𝐒  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐒  𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐋  𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐓 .        More   or   less   he   had   been   dragged   along   against   his   will   against   his   better   judgement   (   Dante   always   had   a   way   to   talk   him   into   the   most   unsavory   situations   )    .      Working   on   blocking   out   the   gaudy   lights     &     the   people   themselves    .      He   had   previously   been   strolling   down   the   dirt   streets   of   the   city    ,      a majority of the residents parting at the moment they noticed his approach    .      His   expression   is   distant    ,      as   cold     &     biting   as   winter’s   c h i l l    .      Eventually   coming   to   a   stop   near   a   building   fitting   brother’s   description    ,      the   devil   opts   to   linger   outside      (    no   reason   to   enter   such   an   establishment    )    .   𝐇𝐄  𝐂𝐀𝐍’𝐓  𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋  𝐇𝐎𝐖  𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆  𝐇𝐄’𝐒  𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍  𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐋 ,        Yamato   tightly   gripped   in   his   hand   as   he   folded   his   arms   over   his   chest    .      However   long   it’s   been    ,      it’s   long   enough   for   him   to   have   shut   his   eyes     &     allow   a   slight   bowing   of   silver   crown   as   he   silently   waits    (   surely   he   couldn’t   have   succeeded   in   FALLING   ASLEEP   in   the   middle   of   the   clamorous   market    )    .      He’s   conscious   of   the   world   around   him   despite   the   resting   demeanor    ,      &     thankfully   enough    ,      there   is   no   one   foolish   enough   to   d i s t u r b   him    .      At least so he had hoped    .
