The Return:
*The last few months have been full of shit and very few giggles. I know that is how life works at times and so I learn and go on. I don't deny the pain or the way I handled it nor do I deny that life always finds a way to brighten again after a bitter storm. I've been keeping up with my business again and enjoying my work as well as the company of Cinny. He always can put a smile on my face. But sometimes, life likes to take that sunny day and toss some wind your way. You know that wind, the kind that is cold and brings gray clouds but no rain. The kind that has a funny smell to it and you aren't sure where it stemmed from but want it gone at all costs. Today, the stinky, ill wind blew my way. As if I hadn't been through enough lately. Guess the Universe decided my endurance and spirit needed more strengthening. I went for a walk with Cinny this afternoon, nothing unusual there, however what was waiting outside my apartment door was. Dan McKnight. My former fiance/cheating dick was waiting outside my door.* What the hell are you doing here Dan and how the fuck did you find my home? "Aw hunbun is that anyway to talk to me?" *he smiled like that snake he was somehow believing I'd not see the coiled reptile slithering beneath the surface.* Hunbun? You lost the right to call me that nearly 7 years ago Dan. So, tell me why you are here then get the hell gone.
"Fine, can we at least go inside to talk?" No, I'm good here. Speak. "I need your help. I'm in a bit of a pickle and you are the only one who can help. There...satisfied." How the hell can the woman you betrayed years ago be your only one that can help? What trouble? *He got closer to me and I could smell the cheap booze on his breath. Brilliant, he couldn't even ask for help sober.* "I just need a loan, just a small one and I know your business is doing well so I figured you could help." How do you know my business is doing well and how much is 'a little'? "I hear things and it's just $50,000. I'm sure you can manage that."
*It was at this point that Cinny really began growling loudly. Even he knew this man was bad news. With a lot of satisfaction, I simply said,* Nope, sorry. I don't have that kind of money and even if I did you would be the last person on earth I'd give it too. Why not use the money you stole from ME to fix your issues." *Then I turned, unlocked my door, stepped across the threshold, and slammed the door in his face!* "This isn't over Cordy, you will help me. You are too good a person to let someone suffer." *I hear him yelling from the corridor, using his pleading voice as if that will sway me. It'll be a cold day in hell before I help his cheating, lying ass.
Great, now I need some serious chamomile tea or whiskey to knock me down. Sleep won't be coming easy tonight.*
