hi do you have any headcanons about the early days of the psychic 7 :-) i love thinking about these weird hippies doing Mind Experiments in the middle of the woods and i like hearing other peoples takes so much
i don't have much BUT. otto has created 7 different death rays. helmut made a song each inspired by each of the minds of his friends (he's been in each of em and they were pretty wack). compton did most of the cooking even though his methods were... unusual (have you SEEN him go at it in that one section in his mind, the guy is feral).
also i think otto and ford definitely discovered and practiced all of the more... destructive psi powers (pyrokinesis, confusion, electrokinesis, psi blast)

im really hoping that rhys + the tftbl crew is in bl3 but like... i keep squinting at the screenshot of rhys with the mustache in the trailer and i cant really tell its him? not to be skeptical im just really bad at noticing details hjkbln... how can you tell?
to be honest i wouldnât be so sure myself if like⌠Everyone Else hadnât agreed w me there. but when u think about it heâs a very tall guy with a similar haircut, trademark tie, and stupid looking jacket, and heâs standing on top of the atlas sign. there arenât really any other known characters i can think of that would fit that description (ESPECIALLY the nod to atlas, since we last saw rhys insisting heâll rebuild the company) so itâs either him or a different lanky, similar-looking guy with ties to atlas thatâs a new character
and the borderlands series is pretty good with character design? so if they were going to bring in a new character to be the head of atlas then chances are theyâd probably try and make him Noticeably Different to rhys (other than just a moustache adshkjfvhfdkjf). additionally, we already had hints that the tftbl player characters were going to show up in bl3, as gearbox bought the rights to the characters after telltale went bust (implying theyâre going to do something with them)
youâre right though! this isnât concrete info. but man i hope it is him because that suggests the others will be there too and i rly miss those guys !!!

since people were talking about psycho portals, im curious if you had any headcanons/theories for how they get made? itâs always the tiny bit of unspoken lore that intrigues me the most. like are they custom made for agents at a certain rank? do they make it themselves? though i think my personal favorite idea is that theyâre just mass produced and everyone gets to decorate theirs in arts and crafts :-)
I think you probably make a psychoportal by crafting the little door and then like. idk why my head goes to "open the little door and drop some psitanium in then close it" bc thats not how. putting objects together works. they're so small tho it's hard to imagine where else the psitanium goes.
I do think the base doors themselves are probably refined at this point in time, so the customization comes from painting them~ but the oldest ones are all little handcarved ones. and you probably could still do that if you wanted to.
