#29 Zero Suit Samus
Samus ditches her armor and gains some wicked speed!
I remember when I found out Samus was a girl, it was a pretty big mindfuck for me as a kid considering almost all heroes in videogames were men ‘back in the day’, I’m pretty sure she’s one of the first badass main female characters in gaming, along with chun-li from street fighter and others. She’s no princess and she needs no rescuing.
When Zero Suit Samus was revealed as a character for Smash Bros I remember just thinking, “Really? Samus with no suit?! What about Ridley or another more interesting character?!” but man is she fun to play as!
She’s got some sick moves, such as her whip, a backflip and a stun gun, and now that she’s got company with two other more characters from her series, I’ve been appeased and everything is right in smash <3
