Origin8 may not work for Animal Crossing
I gave the Origin8 a test run on my PC, and no matter what button combination I tried to use the +Control Pad is always mapped to the POV hat regardless of DInput or XInput. So that means this wireless controller won't work with Animal Crossing unless I hot swap to the wireless Tribute64 receiver after interacting with the Famicom control deck furniture. I must also remember to switch it back to a standard N64 controller after exiting the Famicom game. For now, I'll predict the Origin8 will work with Puyo Puyo SUN, Puyo Puyo 4, Magical Tetris Challenge (without TLS toggle), The New Tetris, Pokémon Puzzle League, Ridge Racer 64, Fighter's Destiny, FIGHTER DESTINY 2 and a few more N64 games with optional C-button usage. If Famicom games were to be played on a Nintendo 64 with an Origin8 without hotswapping the wireless Tribute64 receiver, it's best to stick to Neon64 for now. Currently Retro-Bit's V1 wireless products cannot mix and match with their V2 wireless products. My V1 Wireless Tribute64 controller didn't work with the V2 Origin8 USB receiver, so I contacted Retro-Bit in hopes of receiving a V2 Wireless Tribute64 so I can use the Wireless Tribute64 on the PC again.
