What does it need...
...for people to accept:
The Blacklist isn’t going anywhere.
I have a few thoughts that I'd like to share/mull over with you:
1. When that article said "Dean is on hiatus from heaven" (or whatever), I took that to mean "Jensen has brought Dean back somehow even though last time we saw him he was definitely dead", not "he got bored so he took off lol". So I'm taking that statement not so literally and waiting to see where they shoehorn fit the prequel in to canon.
2. WHAT. IF. Prequel!Dean is ACTUALLY from an alternate universe. During Season 15. And in his universe this is his way of somehow erasing Sam from existence, therefore killing him as Chuck wanted all of the Sams n Deans to do?! It'd explain how off prequel!Dean is, how not normal their '70s looks, how different John and Mary look, the inconsistencies with their canon vs our canon, where the hell Sam is, AND the monsters (specifically the aliens from another dimension or whatever).
You have a very optimistic outlook on the show, anon! There's an awful lot mentioned here that would has to be resolved and personally, I don't trust Robbie to be that creative. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
The only explanation that would even begin to make sense is Dean whacked his head on the doorframe in the bunker, and is narrating his parents' love story to the Doctor treating him for concussion in the ER.
LMAO!!! The Doctor then locks Dean in the psych ward. Sam wants to break him out, but when he finds out what Dean's been saying, decides to leave him in there. The rest of the show is Dean narrating this fake story to Bruce, one of the other patients, who just happens to be Australian.

I thought John didn’t know about the supernatural until Mary died?
Correct! We learn about that in S1's Home, S4's In the Beginning, S5's The Song Remains the Same, and S14's Lebanon. Which means anything John learns about hunting and the Men of Letters has to be removed (mostly likely by a mind-wipe) in order to line up with SPN canon.
It really is the worst part of the prequel, when the entire premise requires a "fix-it" (according to Jensen).
If Robbie and his team gets to look at Anon's theory of AU in the prequel, they would steal it🤣
Even if they comes up with a great twist and wonderful explanation to fit everything in the OG canon and makes it very much believable, the whole show would still be so unnecessary addition to SPN universe.
LOL! I'm sure the writing staff is currently looking for ways to get out of their mess! And you're right, it really doesn't matter because no one wanted the John and Mary show in the first place and at the end of the day, however they write their way into SPN canon, it's still going to require some kind of mind wipe or AU body-switch, which means the characters in TW will not be the same characters that we meet in SPN, thereby invalidating any and all character development with John and Mary. They've literally created a no-win situation.
