Bumpy ride isn’t even enough to describe it. It was literally a downhill ride, one way ticket to disaster. 

At first, when the game was first announced, when it was delayed, before all the announcements that happened a few weeks before release, I was SUPER excited, but after all those exclusive stuff I’m not sure I’m even gonna get, the excitement kind of died down. 

So I guess you could say I got off Arkham Knight hype train as soon as I realized I wasn’t going to enjoy the game as much as I should, even though I deserve to. And that I was expecting to be disappointed, I guess. What I didn’t expect was just how disappointed I am. This was the game I looked forward to the most--the reason I got a new computer.

Then wham, nothing.

My expected disappointment: not getting Red Hood, and all those other exclusive stuff.

The reality: you’re not gonna be play the game at all.

If you’re a console gamer, I hope you’re having fun. :) I also hope to catch up with the fun, if I don’t completely lose interest in it. 

But you had such a great beard. ;_;

In my opinion, there are a couple of things to keep in mind when giving a compliment (to anyone!)

Do not make the compliment a command. A lot of catcalling involves  a comment on an attribute, followed by an expressed desire and/or demand. “I’d love to stick my face in those tits” is not a compliment. 

Following off of that, anything involving sex characteristics or sex acts is not a compliment.

Commenting on something someone did, instead of something they are, is a great option. “I love your dress/hairstyle/shoes/cosplay/patches/etc.” is usually welcome!

Keep it short and leave room for an escape. Following someone around extolling their virtues is not cute and often crosses the line into creepy-as-hell. Smile, deliver your compliment and move on. If they want to continue talking to you, they will!

By the same token, and this is important, do NOT expect anything out of a compliment. Complimenting someone and expecting something in exchange is super skeevy. There is one half exception to this: if you want to lead into asking someone out with a compliment, that’s fine, but don’t be offended or take back the compliment if they don’t say yes.

Don’t compliment someone who is clearly not in a place for it. Examples: wearing headphones, reading a book, “closed” body language, obviously in the middle of something else.
