It’s one of those days where my physical self is sending a warning alarm to my mental self that it needs a break. So as much as I really want to work on my conference paper, I’ll probably listen to my body and go to bed soon. -the arcegyptologist-

This seems like the closest thing to what's going on with me right now. It's called #overtrainingsyndrome and it lines up with a lot of my patterns. Both the ones that hot me here and what I'm experiencing now. I used to go to the gym everyday for about 1-2 hours and train. Then I took a step back not too long ago and started only training 5 times (1-3 hrs a day) a week with two rest days. I've slowly accumulated symptoms and it's getting a bit worse now. I feel fatigued, my appetite is affected, my body and joints are so sore, I get headaches my back hurts, I feel weak. I have myself to blame. Everyone around me has been telling me to rest and I didn't rest enough. I'm starting to see the hard way that rest is so important!!! It's a VITAL part! Same with your mind. You can't always be in deep thought, or on the go, or thinking of what you gotta do, or working your mind. It's good to just sit and enjoy silence and let your mind rest. Balancing my body is just as important and so I'm going to be resting today and tomorrow as well. #overtrainingsyndrome #balance #nutrition #restisgood #fitlife #mindbodysoul
