Every platoon member has a name that they are referred to, Vaggie is short for Vagina and Vagatha. The naming conventions of the Exorcists are bodily functions and or body parts, one is named Tongu (Tongue), Eyre (Eye), Feat (Feet) or Tow (Toe) it's usually a code name to decipher which one is which, and since Lute's partners with (or used to be) Vagatha she decided to name her Vaggie which in all honesty is a Military nickname and not her real maiden name, it's not to say people actually referred to her by that name. Most of the Angels and Demons have name conventions. Wrathian and Greed Imps were planned to have that. Me and Onion were thinking about having the cherubs be named after things to mean "new or fresh"

Naming conventions and themes are what we both took from Dragon Ball as (Vegeta and the Saiyans are named off of puns from Vegetables).

In fact Vaggie is a pun off Vagina, which from what we can gather was just given to her as a joke. There is lore behind the names of various characters rather then having them there for convivence.

For instance.

Valentino's sex workers are named after drugs or a nod to them, Mammon's workers are named after circus relating things/jester, Vox's underlings are named after electronic related things and so on and so forth.

The main issue with Viv's character names is that it doesn't have a reason or origin and it feels like she names them off of her head rather then WHY she named him. Vox's original backstory from Cane had his name be played off from Aux and it was really fitting.

You're meaning to tell me Vox has no origin from his name. Then there's others. So yeah, the names we choose has meaning rather then for IP Purposes.

Ye! Every character who isn't or hasn't been redesigned yet will eventually appear, her role is completely different, and like the others has a different name, however the one thing we changed is that she would have died in between the 70s-90s. That's all.

The one thing we're changing is CherriSnake, the two of them doesn't make any sense whatsoever, and half the ships doesn't either, we are keeping Chaggie (Or at least our version of it.) HuskerDust is just not canon here as it's now considered platonic.

Stolitz will eventually be non canon after Blitz/Blade gets his shit together and cuts off Stolas completely, Octavia/Cordelia has her own self realizing arc and Moxxie/Monty and Millie/Miley would have their own coming of age story.

Every character redesign comes with a new name and a new personality. So if you want to know, yes. Almost every character would be different.

When writing Alastor's backstory we had tried to figure out how to fix the mess Viv had made, since Viv had stated that Alastor was a biracial black man in the 30s, Orion decided to have him be the ancestor of someone who successfully escaped from the UGR. He was going to use his mother but I suspect his mother would've been a better choice. Since if he lived from the 30s then that meant his family were once slaves. Still doesn't make sense.

Yes, Cane did a wonderful good job, I feel as though the idea and lines were done well (There was some peices where he did emulate the old design of Viv very well.)

Anthony however, is very interesting because his design was also purple in nature. Which made sense. Of course feel free to draw whatever you want! We don't mind fanart, SB is very open to it, since she's the one providing the art work from the middleman.

I am surprised people are enjoying this, howver, the only thing I have to say in regards to the rewrite/redesigns is Onion was asking if we should reclaim the characters or change some things in regards to them, I say no. Interpretation and shit would be fine.

He does want to rewrite the story in A03 fanfiction format. But I don't know yet. It's nice to see people enjoy the designs and backstories, I can't wait for those who actually like the future redesigns, according to private discussions with Cane he has decided to add Velvette next, hopefully. The idea was inspired by the original artist, who just wanted to be called Cane, in a way. I was inspired by various media. I had a dead ass rewrite / redone fic (For those, it was called Biblically Inaccurate) that had Jezebel in. Then there's TONES of media that helped with ideas. Like, let's say... DBZ? Yeah, DBZ. Too much of that. But since Viv had stated several times that she wanted Stella to be just like Beatrice I sprinkled in BoJack Horseman and Morel Orel. I also searched up some stuff in history. More specifically for Alastor's part. And did got some old stuff from their original backstories. I also had a very strict religious family, kind of who was very into religion so...

There's a silver lining in all this, in all the shit Viv fucked with (since I am autistic and I am into history.) so I did some semblance of Research.

I was inspired out of spite. You know the same thing people insist was "bad" or "petty" (tell me how was it petty to feel upset something amazing was tarnished and want to nurture it.) that and Spark told me he was making something and I just so happened to have insider knowledge and decided to use it to help him. Go trans rights! I also hate bad LGBTQ+ Rep in any sort of media so that's a motivation. Some of the artists stuff also had to do with some of the backstory as they provided some with Charlsie (Charlie) and Vagatha (Vaggie). Adam's was Sparks idea. Yes, before anyone asked, I did think of the idea of the toilet and mcdonald's wifi, it was originally a joke but SPARK had to add it. Not mad though, just slightly intrigued.
