Why do we have bodies? Is it to live life to its fullest? Is it to indulge in their sensations? To see how far we can go to pleasing it? No, that's a way to get yourselves involved in a neverending trip to never being fully pleased. Our bodies are not brothels to just use them for pleasure. As the Scriptures say, our bodies are temples of God, where He dwells as the Holy Spirit Who was promised to all believing in Him (1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 6:19-20). Our bodies are created in the image of God, so why use them as refuse in our lives? Is this how we would treat our King? It shouldn't be. We are called to honour God with our possessions and increase (Proverbs 3:9), and that includes our bodies and all we do with them. It is not an excuse to use our bodies as a means of sinning against God just to please them (Galatians 5:13). It is as if using a church as an orgy fest. Utterly sinful and lacking integrity! We should treat the bodies we are given with respect to our Creator, even the bodies being conceived in the wombs of the women. Neither are to be wasted on either earthly pleasures or our selfishness. This is why people usually go for lust and abortion, because of the selfish indulgence of the flesh. We are called to utter self-denial and the carrying of our crosses, if we are ever to follow our Good Shepherd. Let us do so in our bodies, and accept Jesus Christ as our Life, following Him instead of our bodies. He knows where we ought to go to glorify Him, so let us turn from our fleshly lives to the eternal one. God bless you in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour! Amen.
